Characters:

Seymour:
Our insecure, naïve, put-upon floristÂ’s clerk hero. A sweet well-meaning but clumsy man, whoÂ’d do anything for love. (20Â’s)
Audrey: The love of SeymourÂ’s life. A Bleached-blonde, uneducated, insecure, sweet, vulnerable young woman, with very low self-worth. (20Â’s)
Mr. Mushnik: Seymour & AudreyÂ’s boss. A frustrated businessman who is failing through lack of opportunity rather than lack of business talent or shrewdness. (over 30)
Audrey II: The plant. The possibly-alien cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado. Played by a Puppeteer operating a series of four puppets from small to huge (& heavy)! The Puppeteer will also be playing Wino #1.
Voice of Audrey II: Provided by a male OR female actor off-stage on a microphone. A BIG sexy voice, able to convey menace and charismatic sweet talk; a thoroughly street-smart, funky, conniving villain.
Crystal, Ronnette, Chiffon: The soulful young female street urchins, who are both participants and Greek Chorus. Young, hip, smart and the only cast members who truly know whatÂ’s going on (possibly to their own advantage)! Harmonising ability a must!
Orin the Dentist: A handsome male dentist – an egotistical pretty boy with leather jacketed Grease/Rebel-Without-A-Cause aspirations but more like a game-show-host/used car salesman. Also plays Wino #2, Customer, Radio Announcer, Mr.Bernstein, Mrs.Luce, Skip Snip, Patrick Martin and possibly more…
