GRADS second planned production for 2006 is the most popular of Ibsen's plays, Hedda Gabler.
AUDITION DATE Sunday 19th March
Auditions will be held in the Bradley Studio at UWA and booked appointments are required.
Director Collin O'Brien, is a retired UWA Lecturer in English with a wealth of experience in performance and directing.
Season Dates are Wednesday to Friday opening July 25 for two weeks.
The cast is made up of 3 men and 4 women, as follows:
Characters:
Jorgen Tesman (a scholar) - over 35
Hedda Teasman - his wife - late 20's to late 30's
Juliane Tesman - his Aunt - 50+
Mrs Elvsted - late 20's to late 30's
Judge Brack - 45+
Eilert Lovborg - late 20's to late 30's
Berte, the Tesmans' servant - 50+
Those auditioning will be required to sight read pieces from the play.
If you would like to read for a particular part you are invited to read a short piece from the play and should be prepared to talk about the character as you see her/him.
You are encouraged to audition two at a time.
