MATES Theatre Society will be holding open auditions for their first production of 2005, “Secret Bridesmaids Business” on TUESDAY, 16TH NOVEMBER starting at 7:30PM at the BIRKDALE SCHOOL OF ARTS HALL.
Written by Elizabeth Coleman, this very comedy revolves around a life-changing event which most of us experience sometime in our lives, share with those nearest and dearest to us, and prey that nothing with tarnish.
The story takes place in a hotel suite in the hours prior to Meg Bacon’s wedding, and together with her Mum, Meg and her bridesmaids plan one last night of fun—well, that’s the plan.
However, not all goes according to plan, and a scandal threatens to ruin the whole affair.
Marriage may be great, but after a night like this can it all be worth it?
This promises to be another popular and successful MATESÂ’ production, and the group would love to see some new faces come along to their audition evening.
“Secret Bridesmaids Business” will run for five performances—four Saturday nights and a Friday night—in April 2005.
Cast Required
Meg Bacon—Bride, she is warm, fragile and fun. Main character.
