A play about the lives of four women and all the people they love and who make them crazy. The novice nun sister Joan, tempted by love. Maxine a strong spirited woman, neglected abused widow Betty and Heather, the young wife and mother with a tragic secret.

The play has a cast of six characters, consisting of five women and one man.

q John: disembodied male, voice only. John is the dance teacher, he has conversations off stage with the characters but is never seen on stage, this character could be there backstage or if necessary his voice could be recorded then played back for each performance.
q Maxine: preferably over 40. Maxine is a strong confident woman, with a sweet tooth and a bad eating habit, she has some self esteem issues with her weight.
q Betty: preferably over 40. Betty is being abused by her adult son Robert, who steals from her and pushes her around.
Sister Joan: 18-30. Joan is a novice nun who is having second thoughts about becoming a nun because of her relationship with a priest.
q Heather: 20-35. Young woman who had dreams of becoming a ballerina, now a wife and mother.
