Note 1: The childrenÂ’s roles will be doubled, but all children will perform at all performances.
Note 2: AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Please bring a recent photo of yourself to the auditions.
- Please prepare a song that demonstrates your vocal range.
- You MUST bring SHEET MUSIC for your song in the key you wish to sing it in. Backing tapes and acapella singing will NOT be allowed. No exceptions!
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to dance in.
- You will be required to read a section from the script, so come early to familiarise yourself with it.
- Auditions will be held at the new factory: 3 Devon Court, Epping. Melways ref: 181-J11
Note 3: There will be a mandatory weekend rehearsal camp on the 26th – 28th of April.
Note 4: Production Dates are June 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st and twice on the 22nd.
Note 5: The following applies to the Dance Requirements listed overleaf:
- Mover - Basic co-ordination and sense of rhythm. Handle very simple steps in time with music.
- Confident mover - Can handle slightly more complex moves and dance steps than above. Can possibly execute simple turns and can work with others doing synchronized movement. Certain degree of style and flair preferred (ability to ‘fake it’ looked upon favorably).
-Good dancer - Comfortable with sophisticated combinations of steps. Lot of physical ‘panache’ ie. Appears graceful & stylish whilst dancing even if there is no history of dance training or technique.
-Strong/excellent dancer - As above also with clear-cut turning, leaping ability. Dance training/technique essential.
