Auditions: Fringe World production

Groovy Boots Theatre is back... we're auditioning a show to be part of Fringe World in February 2014 at The Flying Scotsman's Velvet Lounge (where we staged He Died with a Felafel in His Hand). It's a contemporary stage drama, depicting a play-within-a-play - within a play - spoofing the whole experimental theatre experience. In the beginning there are auditions where the audience is privy to casting. But what if the show is already cast and the players know their roles but are made to feel they are improvising knowing they're audioning for the role they already have" And what if all this is thrown all out of whack because one audition happens by complete accident? Auditions are 10am-4pm, Saturday, November 2, at the Old Mill Theatre. Please email groovyboots@hotmail.com to express an interest. All auditionees must be over 18 as we are performing in a licensed venue. Roles: Ryan (18-35), Linda (around 55), Rhianna (early 20s), Ronny (16-18 - needs to look youthful), Matilda (20s). As with all Groovy Boots productions, this is a co-op, or profit-share, production (i.e. should there be any money left after all expenses have been met this is then shared equally among all cast and crew). To date, we have been successful in paying our actors for all previous productions. NOTE: Please be patient if waiting for a response.
