Pardon Me Prime Minister Auditions

The Garrick committee wishes to advise that the final production for this year SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS has been withdrawn . This is due to technical reasons . How ever it has been replaced by a wonderful farce “PARDON ME PRIME MINISTER” still to be directed by Fred Petersen. He apologises for this change , one that he did reluctantly. Following is list of characters required. Rt Hon. George Venables Prime Minister. Fifties suitably classless, outwardly stern, inwardly vulnerable. Rodney Campbell. Parliamentary Private Secretary to the PM. Miss Frobisher. Chancellors secretary. Potentially pretty in her twenties. Rt Hon. Hector Cramond. Sturdy no nonsense Scotsman, in his fifties. A militant Scot whose harsh exterior conceals a heart of stone. Sybil Venables. PM’s wife. A sweet rather vague lady in her early fifties. Gracious and jolly. Shirley Springer. Attractive (blond) in her early twenties, scatty but not dumb. Cheerful, direct with an oddly naive manner. Jane Rotherbrook. Attractive in her early twenties. Cool and sophisticated. Dora Springer. Late forties. Amply built but retains the good looks of her youth. Has a shrewd, bright extrovert manner. A Man. This is a three line role which may be filled from back stage crew unless someone wants to have their first go on stage. The season runs from November 22nd to December 14th.
