August: Osage County

August:Osage County begins in August as the action takes place over several weeks in the home of Beverly and Violet Weston. The story begins when Beverley, a poet with a drinking problem, is trying to hire a new live in cook and caregiver for Violet, who is suffering from both mouth cancer and a drug problem. Problems between the couple are part of the plot from the first scene when Johnna is hired. A few weeks later Beverley disappears which motivates his three daughters and their families to come together to look for him, only to find a few days later that he has committed suicide. A series of conflicts ensue as old conflicts, new romances and problem partners come to the surface of the family drama.
