Climbing Vine - Applications Open

Climbing Vine is offering a unique opportunity for performers unlike any other currently being offered in W.A. A creative, intensive program, leading directly to opportunities for employment as a paid actor, BY AUDITION ONLY. The framework of this program will take place over twelve months, offering actors a strong platform of performance. Auditions are open to anyone who is genuinely interested in and committed to being a performer. Successful applicants will attend weekly workshops, focusing on - Basic Performance Skills - Character Development Skills - Devising Material Skills - Working with Scripted Materials - Feedback & Criticism - Theatre Etiquette There is a $150 membership fee for the 12 month course. At the conclusion of these workshops, members will be given the opportunity to take those skills learnt to the stage in an end-of-year performance, a completely original production to be showcased to friends, family and the Company Director. Stand out performers will then be selected to continue working with us on bigger projects with paid work. Group auditions will be held on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June. Successful applicants will be invited to start the program on July 17th, with workshops being in Maylands every Wednesday. Please note, we differ from other theatre schools and companies in that our unique performances are produced to a professional standard in all aspects. We expect all members to reach the benchmark for professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment at all times. Only serious applicants need apply. Applications are open to anyone aged 16 and up.
