Peter Pan

Auditions will be held on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th August 2013.

While there are many, many roles available. The three main roles are:
Wendy Darling – Eldest of the Darling children. Her stage age is around 12. We will happily consider girls older, but perhaps not much younger.
Peter Pan – This role is traditionally played by a woman, but quite often now played by a boy. We will happily consider anybody of either gender for the role.
Captain James Hook – Captain of the Jolly Roger (Traditionally doubled with Mr Darling).

If you wish to audition for one of these three roles, could you PLEASE prepare an audition piece. A monologue of some sort . I don’t mind if you need to read it, as long as you have spent some thought preparing it. Although please, nothing from the show.
All other characters will not need prepared monologues.

The Darling Household: Mr Darling, Mrs Darling, Liza (the maid), John Darling, Michael Darling
The Lost Boys: Tootles, Nibs, Slightly, Curly and the Twins. (we are open to girls playing some of the lost boys)
The Pirates: Mr Smee, Gentleman Starkey and others
Indians: Tiger Lily and the rest of her tribe
Mermaids
Two final characters of note:
Nana – The Governess – is a dog! This is a difficult and challenging role for an extremely physical actor. Lots of action and no lines to learn! Gender of the performer is totally irrelevant.
Tinkerbell – we will not be auditioning the role of Tinkerbell! The role will be played traditionally as a point of light and an offstage bell.

We will be booking people in half hour blocks. Starting at 10:00am on Saturday and 12:00 noon on Sunday. Depending on what you are auditioning for, you may be asked to be in attendance for an hour or more.
