God of Carnage, a Tony award winning play by Jasmin Riza, translated by Christopher Hampton is to be directed by Lynne Devenish. Auditions will be held at 7:30pm on June 7th at the Garrick. “What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behaviour of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime?” Set in France, this fast paced clack comedy requires four experienced actors to fill the roles of two couples in their forties (give or take a few years). Accents are not required, but the characters need to present as upwardly mobile, intelligent and cultured people.
