9 The Musical Calling all women singers! - And a few good men. Plus some children! Richmond Players' next production will be the major Broadway musical, “Nine” in August 2013. We need you to make it great! That is, we need you if you could see yourself as: Part of the Best Women's Chorus In A Musical Ever “Nine” has a women-only chorus that sing throughout the show in up to 4-part harmony – so that's all voice types included. They start the show by singing the Overture, which is a thrilling tour-de-force of female vocal fun, and then return for highlights in many of the show's big numbers. If you like to sing interesting music without having to worry about dialogue or character, then this is the chorus for you! Of course, if you like to sing interesting music AND deliver character & dialogue, then the following will be for you: Cast requirements 9 Principal females (20-50) 7 minor female roles 2 Principal males – older and young Guido (x2 children) In addition it is anticipated that there will be a child chorus of 4 with an ‘A’ and ‘B’ chorus so 8 child chorus members. ‘Nine’ is set in modern era Information Night Thursday 11 April, 8pm in the main hall at Richmond School of Arts crn March st and West Market st Richmond NSW – Information night and chorus review Auditions Monday 6 May at 6.30-9.30pm - Auditions Tuesday 7 May at 6.30-9.30pm – Auditions 1. Rehearsals Rehearsals will be Monday and Wednesdays beginning at 7.30pm.
