EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - Twelfth Night - Melville Theatre

See production listing for details [end edit]Auditions will be held in the last two weeks of Feb and in to March depending on space availability, between the 16th of Feb and the 3rd of March. Please provide a list of your availability within that time frame with the following conditions: weekday evenings and weekend afternoons.

In terms of preparation, all applicants will need to prepare one Shakespeare Monologue from any play under 1 minute 30 seconds in length, and be prepared to present it in different ways.
Character Breakdown
Ages, where provided, are a guide and refer to the look of the character, not your actual age.
Viola - Female - Twin to Sebastian - Younger than Orsino
Sebastian - Male - Twin to Viola - Younger than Orsino
PLEASE NOTE: In the interests of openness and honesty, I would prefer these two characters to look as much alike as possible. This should not stop anyone from auditioning for either of the above roles as wigs and make-up are options.
Orsino - Male - Young Duke - 30s
Olivia - Female - Grieving Lady - Late 20s to Mid 30s
Clown - Male - Musical, can sing reasonably well, and preferably play an instrument that can be carried, like a guitar, while singing.
Toby - Male - Older gentleman whom enjoys the regular drop of drink - 30s to 50s
Maria - Female - Olivia's Attendant - Younger than Toby
Malvolio - Male - Olivia's stern and suffering Steward - late 30s up
Andrew - Male - Foolish nobleman - late 20s to late 30s - Younger than Toby
Split Roles - I anticipate not getting enough men to play all the roles, so these roles are doubled up. I would also consider having women play them, as men, maybe.
Sea Captain / Antonio - Rugged Men of the Sea - late 30s and up
Valentine / Officer 1 - An Officer in Orsino's Court
Curio / Officer 2 - An Officer in Orsino's Court
Fabian (Servant) / Priest - Attendant in Olivia's Court
