At first all goes well. Their neighbours seem a little eccentric but there are no real problems. They enjoy the space and freedom and Gary finds out that he has a real talent for growing things. The situation changes when Gary’s sister, Bernice, arrives with a tale of woe about their mother. It gets decidedly more problematical when Gary starts digging in the old chook yard………… A Country Retreat is a comedy/drama that portrays ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances. A reading will be held on Saturday 2 Feb at 2 pm at the theatre. Auditions will be held on Saturday 9 Feb at 2 pm at the theatre. The play will be directed by Peter Flanigan and Jann Rutherfird and will be staged in May.
