Sunday Matinees February 24 and March 10 2013 A View From the Bridge By Arthur Miller Directed by Neil Moulang I am very excited to be given the opportunity to present the terrific drama for the first play for our 2013 season. All the roles offer great acting and dramatic moments; moments of passion, moments of violence, moments of surprises, moments of frustrations....it's a great play and as relevant today as it was in the 1950's. Cast 5 males + 2 females (plus others - various) All roles listed below are excellent roles, with Marco being a slightly smaller role but very significant to the overall play. The Immigration Officer is a small role an appears fairly late in the play for about 2 pages of dialog. Eddie Carbone 35-45 years old New York Italian. A longshoreman ( a waterside worker/ docker). Beatrice - Eddies wife 35-45 New York Italian Catherine - 19-24 Eddies niece who lives with Eddie and Bea in their apartment (more a workers flat) in Redhook N.Y. Marco - male 30 - 35 Beatrice's cousin just arrived (illegally) from Italy Rodolpho - Male 22 -24 yo Brother of Marco. A blonde Italian ( or be prepared to go blonde!) also just arrived illegally from Italy Alfieri - 50+ yo lawyer New York Italian. More of a narrator role, however he does act in several scenes. Immigration Officer - male. 30+ year old New York accent required. A small role and appears fairly late in the play for about 2 pages of dialog. A great chance to make your debut! Possibly several smaller roles available for men and women if sufficient interest. Please see the director if you are keen to take a small part. Some are speaking roles, some are non-speaking so please indicate if you are interested. Louis, Mike, Tony - all small speaking parts Mr Lapari ( the local butcher) and Mrs Lapari (walk on only)
