From the writer/director who brought you the award winning 'Rain', 'Unattainable, and 'The Shoemaker's Daughter' comes a new full length original production..

'Flesh Wounds' is a multi-character drama with live music following the interconnecting lives and relationships of six people as they struggle with identity, spirituality and brokenness.

Jacob a struggling musician is living on the streets, talented singer songwriter Sam might just be his ticket to the big time. Kayla gave her boyfriend the flick when she found out she was pregnant but now she's not so sure she can do it on her own. Cameron a conservative Christian is in love with Paul, enough said. And quirky Tara is the glue that holds them all together.

Developed with funding from Stages (WA Playwright Consortium) this dramatic ensemble piece offers some seriously juicy roles for talented actors to sink their teeth into. The director intends to use a Mike Alfred's inspired, collaborative process during rehearsals and it should be a very challenging and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

ROLES AVAILABLE:

Cameron:    Male, 30ish large challenging role requiring a very competent actor.

Paul:           Male, 30s good looking, tall, charismatic.

Jacob:                  Male 20s, recovering addict and talented singer/guitarist.

Sam:           Female 20's. Nervous with a dry sense of humour and a dark past. Sam must be played  by a very talented singer/songwriter who can play the guitar and possibly the piano.

Kayla:      Female early 20s, pretty 'model' type, although a bit rough around the edges.

Tara:           Female late 20s, quirky, colourful and alternative.

The production will be a part of Old Mill Theatre Company second season, in March 2012.
