Stories from Suburban Road

Adapted by Alan Becher from Tom Hungerford's autobiography of the same name, Stories from Suburban Road is a nostalgic and vivid look at growing up in an Australian rural setting between two world wars. “..This is storytelling at its best - urgent, immediate, simple and filled with love...it is also a most interesting social document in the best of the oral tradition.' The production will run at Stirling Theatre, Morris Place, over 8 – 25 September 2011. Reading Stirling Theatre, Morris Place, Innaloo 2pm on Saturday 18 June 2011 Auditions Stirling Theatre, Morris Place, Innaloo 9am – 11am on Saturday 25 June Callbacks (by invitation only) Stirling Theatre, Morris Place, Innaloo 11am – 12.30pm on Saturday 25 June. If interested in role of Tom, you must be available to stay until 12.30pm. Several cast members required - aged from minimum 13 years to maximum 40 years. Must be prepared to be part of ensemble (even lead roles). Most actors will play more than one part.
