Parts to be auditioned are as follows:-
THE SEVEN DWARFS (May be boys or girls – Height will be a determining factor)
DOC – HAPPY - GRUMPY – SNEEZY – SLEEPY – BASHFUL and DOPEY.
Auditionees need to be able to speak clearly,and audibly, develop and maintain a character (with help of course)and be willing to learn Stage Craft and work as a team member.
HANDMAIDENS
Must be able to speak audibly with expression, sing in tune and have Dance ability.
2 WITCHES' CATS
Need to have accomplished Acrobatic Ability and some Dance Movements. (No lines to say)
2 PAGE BOYS TO THE PRINCE
Will take part in sketches as well as accompanying THE PRINCE on stage at all times.
A TRUMPET PLAYER AND PERCUSSION(If available).
Once selection is made, you will be given a copy of the script to look through.
Following this on SUNDAY 22 MAY, there will be a MEET AND GREET' at the theatre to meet all Adult Members of the Cast and Crew, followed by LUNCH, and a reading of the whole play.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The Families of all successful cast members will be asked to become Members of KADS
THEATRE at a cost of $30.00 per family. This ensures that your child is covered by Insurance whilst they are at the Theatre. You will then receive the monthly “ON CUE” letter which KADS publishes every month.
Please also note that a Police Clearance Certificate is held by the Director,(ANITA BOUND)who is also a fully qualified but retired Secondary School Teacher.
The next point we must stress is that once you have accepted a part COMMITMENT IS ESSENTIAL. ALL CAST MUST OF COURSE ATTEND ON THE NIGHTS OF THE PERFORMANCES.

SENIORS FREE MATINEE - SUNDAY 6 NOVEMBER @ 2.00 PM
FESA SOFT OPENING - WEDNESDAY 8 NOV. @ 8.00 PM
FRIDAY 11, SATURDAY 12
WEDNEDAY 16, FRIDAY 18, SATURDAY 19, SUNDAY 20.(MATINEE)
WEDNESDAY 23, FRIDAY 25,SATURDAY 26, SUNDAY 27.(MATINEE)
WEDNESDAY 30 , FRIDAY 2 DECEMBER, SATURDAY 3 (LAST NIGHT).
For the play to be a success and in fairness to all the other actors all rehearsals except in cases of illness, and other compassionate reasons must be attended. A Form will be provided to state dates on which you will not be able to attend rehearsals and also a PERMISSION SLIP for parents to sign.SCHEDULED REHEARSALS WILL EXCLUDE ALL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS IN JULY.
Rehearsals will commence on Monday 29th August and will be 7pm to 9pm on Wednesdays and Mondays and 10.30am on Sundays.This will be a fun production and will involve a good few members of our community including Kalamunda Snr High School Drama Department and some students.
