LOVE HURTS. A Collection of Short Plays. Love and pain - they interweave in so many ways. Rag & Bone's inaugural theatre season will be held in conjunction with Kwinana Theatre Workshop. Performed at Koorliny Arts Centre on 30 June, 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 & 9 July, 2011. NOTE: Although performances will be held at Koorliny Arts Centre, rehearsal locations will be agreed between the people involved. The plays are: DEADLOCK by Tony Moore Directed by Bree Vreedenburgh A serial killer has his next victim trapped in a cellar. Can she get the upper hand? A tense psychological thriller with a twist. A dark piece for a couple of serious actors 1 male 1 female Ages open AN EYE FOR AN EYE by John Grimshaw Directed by Felicity May A man imprisoned for murdering his father speaks with a local newspaper reporter. When it comes to families, things aren't always what they seem. A social commentary on how the media will twist details to get a good story... 3 (or 4) males 1 (or 2) female Ages open, though 1 female needs to be younger ROSES ARE BLACK by Bree Vreedenburgh Directed by Jayde Clark His roses are being mutilated and his wife is having an affair. What is a man to do? Quick fire dialogue delivery required in this comedy. 3 males 1 female Ages open THE LEFTOVERS by Kyle Kash-Gregory Directed by Jane Sherwood A group of people share their experiences with death.
