The Brain From Planet X - Production Team WANTED!!

Players Theatre Company is seeking expressions of interest for the Australasian Premiere of our October 2011 show, “The Brain From Planet X”. ... A hilarious musical send-up of bad 50’s sci-fi movies, THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X tells the story of an alien invasion circa 1958. A Brain and its two alien cohorts arrive on Earth with a plan to take over the San Fernando Valley - starting with a happy nuclear family. It’s the first step on the road to their quest of taking over the entire planet and destroying the family unit. This rousing, toe-tapping musical features a dancing, singing brain ... what more could you want from a musical?" All applicants are required to submit a resume/biography and if applicable an artistic vision/design. Director - Someone with artistic flair and a solid vision for an already quirky script. - Someone able to convey their ideas to a cast. - Experience not necessary but recommended. Musical Director - A creative MD is needed to work with an otherwise unknown score and make it their own. - Piano playing ability highly recommended or, an ability to source a rehearsal pianist. Choreographer - Tap experience a must. - Someone with an open mind that can collaborate with the director to work towards a common vision.
