Snugglepot and Cuddlepie

Snugglepot and Cuddlepie the musical is based on the childrens' book by May Gibbs. First published in 1918 it's an Australian classic appealing to both adults and children. Snugglepot and Cuddlepie are gumnut babies who live deep in the bush. After they overhear Old Kookaburra lecturing about giant creatures called humans Snugglepot and Cuddlepie set out on a quest to meet a human being. Along the way they encounter many uniquely Australian characters including Ragged Blossom, evil Mrs Snake, the malevolent Banksia Man, a brave frog, Mr Lizard, as well as many others. The plot takes the gumnuts on a boat, under the sea and then in a bottle, ever pursued by the Banksia men. A truly Australian musical treat. This show requires both a childrens and an adults chorus.
