AUDITION NOTICE: ASHFIELD YOUTH THEATRE’S SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL Ashfield Youth Theatre is calling for young people across the inner west of Sydney to audition for our Short Play Festival. About the Festival… The Short Play Festival will be a collection of short plays written, directed and performed by young people of Sydney’s inner west. Teams of young writers and directors have been mentored to commit their stories and ideas to the page. Now they need you - the actors - to bring them to life! Me… act? The Short Play Festival will be a series of short 10min plays - your chance to test the waters and experience being in a theatre production that is bite-sized and tasty! Treading the boards regularly? Here’s your chance to keep those acting muscles flexed. What to prepare… Actors need to prepare a dramatic, contemporary monologue (max 3 minutes). Choose a piece that shows off your versatility as an actor. Be courageous. Be prepared to play. GROUP AUDITION WHEN: Tuesday 1st March WHERE: Bastable St Hall, 2 Bastable St Croydon (near Ashfield Pool). TIME: 5.30pm – 7.00pm BRING: Your monologue and comfortable clothing.
