Atrocity - Cabaret & Burlesque du Grand Guignol presents a return to the theatrical values of old. Contemporary, thought-provoking and visceral, it combines shock performance with music, song, dance and the art of wicked tease - providing a 21st century sadistic soap opera of sex, violence, beauty, horror, audience participation and psychological play designed to entrance, enrage, entice and entertain. An already established Melbourne icon, ATROCITY is seeking two dedicated, mature and courageous performers to join the troupe and explore the darker side of theatre. Both roles require physicality, subtlety and a 'think outside the square' approach. Performers will be challenged beyond conventional theatrics and will bring their own unique perspective to the role. He is a misogynist, a violent rapist and a liar, dancing and doffing his rude attire in an endless theatrical charade of grandiose proportions- a show designed to dazzle as he destroys...and keeps his audience looking in the other direction. Beneath the paint, however, lies the broken and bitter soul of a young man with a painful past and the weight of the world on his shoulders...still seeking freedom from a twisted family that will never let him go. Role requires high physicality, maturity, singing ability and proficiency in piano. Males, aged 18 to 35 from Australia Accents spoken: French & UK Cockney/English **** FABRIZIO FORTE (The Bang Brothers- Supporting Cast) One of the heinous trio known as Il Forte Fratelli (The Bang Brothers), a crazed wolf-pack of murdering, rapist clowns whose creed is Desire - Destroy - Devour, Fabrizio plays the idiot with childish glee and abandon, his tomfoolery belying a savage animalistic carnality and a primal hunger for human flesh. A highly physical character who sings, dances, clowns and may be proficient in a musical instrument. High level maturity and improvisation skills required for role.
