Spamalot

CALLING VIBRANT, ENERGETIC & DEDICATED PERFORMERS The Murray Music and Drama Club is on a quest……..a quest to secure two dozen strong performers to bring to life “Spamalot” - the musical version of Monty Python’s movie “Search for the Holy Grail”. These actors need to be able to sing, act, move well (dance training an advantage but not a necessity), and have an appreciation for Phythonesque humour. The cast is quite specific in its requirements, and is predominantly male. There are six principal roles (King Arthur, Patsy his servant, and four main knights Robin, Galahad, Lancelot and Bevedere) and several cameo roles. These gentlemen (aged from late teens upwards) will in the main be presenting iconic material, and will need to demonstrate the correct accents at auditions. Seven women are required. The Lady of the Lake, (suggested age 20’s – 30’s) who is the beautiful, glamourous and mystical female who presents King Arthur with Excalibur – a strong singing voice is required for this role – and her Laker girls, ( suggested age 17-30) six sassy, high kicking cheerleader types. These roles are a perfect opportunity for seven sexy confident ladies to strut their stuff onstage. The show will be presented at the Pinjarra Civic Centre over three weeks in May. Rehearsals commence on Feb 2nd after auditions on Jan 31st. All theatre lovers who would like a crack at being involved in this energetic and hilarious spectacle are encouraged to come along and audition.
