The audition for the April season production of “LUCKY SODS” will be held at the Limelight Theatre on -
29th January between 10am and Midday.
John Godber’s “LUCKY SODS” is a satirical, at times delicate and poignant, comedy which plays upon the theme, “Be careful what you wish for … it may come true.”
Morris and Jean win big on the National Lottery, yet their lives are gradually diminished. Their new-found wealth causes resentment, jealousy and greed from their family, envy from the acquaintances and eventually the reappearance of an old flame from the past.
This play is all about chasing dreams, but is also a parable showing that money doesn’t always bring happiness.
This is a thoroughly entertaining play with all of the parts, both leading and support characters, offering a challenge for the actors concerned as they work together to leave the audience wondering—”Do I really want to win the Lottery after all?”
The Characters -
Morris—the Lottery winner 40+
Jean—Morris’s wife 40+
