This is a fast-paced thriller, full of blind alleys and red herrings. When best-selling author Max Telligan's secretary Liz and his about-to-be ex-wife Harriet read that he has been found dead in Munich, they are stnned. Their shock turns to amazement, however, when Max walks in, very much alive. The dead man - a murder victim - was Max's friend, an dthus begins a sequence of events involving the CID, CIA, Security Services and a Terrorist Organisation, all of whom seem inordinately interested in Max. Before long, Max finds himself caught up in a highly dangerous situation, where no one is quite what they seem.
