Cast required: four males able to play at 50-y.o + and willing to work at more than the usual level of intensity. One ‘boy’ 10 -14 y/o.
Audition requirements: A knowledge of Samuel Beckett and an enthusiasm for Waiting for Godot or, failing that, a commitment to exploring the text; an ability to discuss the play and the characters without grovelling idolatry but with an appreciation of the humour underlying Beckett’s references to the theatrical traditions, as well as a sympathy with the human condition portrayed.
Prepared audition pieces are not required, but there might be some cold-reading. Please bring CV.
Season is 11, 12, 16, 18, 19 March 2011.
