MATES On Broadway

Bringing a touch of Broadway to Birkdale, MATES Theatre Society will begin 2011 with a two-night extravaganza titled MATES On Broadway featuring musical performances from some of the classic and modern musicals.

Director Mel White invites people interested in solo and chorus line roles to an information afternoon on Sunday, 14^TH November with auditions and call-backs to occur over the following week.

Auditions will be split into two groups: chorus line auditions on Tuesday evening 16^TH November and soloist auditions on Thursday evening 18^TH November.

Casting and call-backs will occur on Sunday, 21^ST November in readiness for rehearsals to commence on Tuesday evening 23^RD November.

MATES Theatre Society will perform three concerts of MATES On Broadway in mid-February 2011; an evening performance on February 18^TH and a matinee and evening performance on February 19^TH.

Director Mel White has been a tireless contributor to MATES Theatre Society since being involved in her first MATES’ production in 2008; Mel brings this enthusiasm and seven years experience in musicals and pantomimes with St Luke’s Arts and Drama Society in the United Kingdom to the director’s chair and  make MATES On Broadway a fantastic journey for all involved.

• Auditions – chorus only: Tuesday, 16^TH November 2010 @ 7.30PM.
• Auditions – soloists: Thursday, 18^TH November 2010 @ 7.30PM.
• Casting & Call-Backs: Sunday, 21^ST November 2010 @ 2PM.
• Rehearsals Start: Tuesday, 23^RD November 2010 @ 7PM.
• Performances: Friday 18^TH and Saturday 19^TH February 2011.
