Auditions masterclass

Got an audition coming up? Need some tips and tricks, confidence boosters and an experienced eye cast over your piece? What is this best attitude to bring to the audition floor? What are they looking for? At King St Arts Centre in the centre of Perth’s vibrant fashion district, come and polish up your audition in a friendly and supportive environment. Western Australian Youth Theatre company Artistic Director Phil Thomson will be preparing a group of young performers for tertiary and/or industry auditions, offering sage advice and words of wisdom as an experienced director and performer. The sessions span two weeks, giving performers a chance to rework audition pieces between the sessions. The workshops will cover understanding the monologue, finding the character, vocal and physical preparation and secret audition tricks. TIMES: 11am – 2pm SUNDAY OCTOBER 17th & 24th
