AMENDED NOTICE FOR AUDITION AS AT OCTOBER 4th (update in bold italic)

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Old Mill Theatre's opening season for 2011 will be Hamlet.Director John Milson will make a welcome return to this theatre aftar a long absence.

Season dates are February 4 - 19 2011

Auditions have ben set  for Saturday October 9 10 am to 4 pm

SUNDAY October 10 will be ONLY from 10 am to noon for those who absolutely cannot make the Saturday

Note: These times/days may need to be adjusted depending on the requirementas of the show then in rehearsal, so please check nearer to the date.

INFORMATION FROM THE DIRECTOR.

Audition dates are: Saturday October 9 from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday October 10 from 10 am to 12 noon (See above) at the theatre.

Possible call-backs Saturday October 16, times TBA

Season is February 2011 and rehearsals will begin mid-November

The part of Hamlet is not available, ALL others are. minimum age is 18.

All auditionees should make themselves familiar with the play before attending an audition.

Requirements:

you will be required to perform (memorise) 2 contrasting monologues_

a) One piece of Shakespeare blank verse, with a minimum of 12 lines

b) One piece of prose from any non-Shakespeare play.

A copy of each is to be provided to the director. A CV and photo should be brought to the audition

Props and costume pieces can be used but these are not essential

Recalls - if deemed necessary -will be arranged, at the first audition for Saturday October 16th.

It is NOT necessary to attend the September workshops beforw auditioning, however it is advisable to do so.

Please allow 10-15 mins for your audition and please attend at least 10 mins before your designated time.
