INHERITANCE Short Plays

Footprint Theatre is holding a play reading and sign-up day on Sunday 20 June 2010 starting from 10:00am in the recreation room at the Pambula Beach Discovery Park (Upstairs above the BBQ area near the fenced-in playground). Please use the visitor parking area on the left near the basketball court (even better, reduce your "footprint" and ride your bike or car-share!). We'll be reading the 5 short plays written by The Writers of The Far South Coast on the theme "Inheritance" and asking people to sign up as directors, actors and general crew members - stage crew, props, sets, wardrobe, lighting, sound, box office, publicity. Short plays are a great way to cut your teeth on directing./acting as well as learn backstage skills and there will be experienced people there to help you learn the ropes. This will be a co-production with Theatre Onset, who are also performing some short plays. Rehearsals at the Frank Maher Pavilion in Pambula will start as soon as auditions are complete and performances will be in Merimbula and Bega in late August/early September. We'll also be reading "Ruby Moon" by Matt Cameron. Ruby Moon is now scheduled for production in early 2011, to be directed by Andrew Gray. Please note, these plays are targeted at late teens/adults.
