Youth Theatre - Ascent

A Stirling Players Youth Group Production A movement piece which tells the story of a favoured son's fall from grace, then his betrayal and murder of his brothers and father and his descent into chaos. The aim of the piece is to create a piece of art that is stunning, painful and beautiful all at once. Looking for 7 – 9 actors between 13 and 25 to play the following characters: The Emperor, a shining hero, a god made flesh, male or female Horus, his son, a bright star who falls to hell, male Sanguinius, his brother, an angel, pure, female The 4 Demons, embodiments of all evil, various aspects, very physical, 2 male 2 female A Chorus of Brothers, the other sons of the emperor, again very physical. All questions will be answered at the group audition at 7PM on WEDNESDAY 17 MARCH at Stirling Theatre This production will be performed as Stirling Players Youth group's submission in the Peter Moyes Anglican community school One Act Festival on 23 June 2010. Rehearsals will be at Stirling Theatre, Innaloo between 7pm and 9pm Wednesdays. Successful auditionees need to be available most Wednesday nights between 24 March and the performance date. Most actors will not be required for all rehearsals, but the Director is quite flexible so do not let availability affect your decision to audition.
