**Updated 18 May 2010** Due to unforeseen circumstances, two male roles in this play are now open to be filled again. Richard the Clerk - (Major Part) 17-25yrs Originally played by Richard Burton in the London production Edward Tappercoom - A justice, big/fat (Minor Part) 50-65yrs If you are interested in either of these roles, please contact the Director Ailsa Travers on 9279 1151 to discuss further. __________________________________________________________________________________________ This very funny play was written by Christopher Fry as a satirical look at McCarthyism in the 1950s. It is a story of a girl unjustly accused of witchcraft and a soldier of fortune who is tired of life. Set in 1400 (or thereabouts!) it is written in beautiful language, yet still very funny. This season is to run from 9-24 July 2010 at Stirling Theatre, Innaloo. “A poetic fantasy of rare splendour and delight....A work of magical humour and deep beauty.” -- Herald, Tribune.
