All auditionees will be required to prepare a talk highlighting their theatrical experience to deliver to the panel, lasting one to three minutes. In addition to this the auditionee should also prepare, learn and rehearse an original monologue based on the character they wish to audition for, also lasting one to three minutes. Please make the talk and monologue interesting and entertaining and wow us with your theatrical prowess. If you have not worked with Beaumaris Theatre previously, we ask that you also sing at the audition and please bring sheet music or backing track. Each audition will last approximately ten minutes. Please also bring along a typed up theatrical resume to attach to your audition form on the day. The minimum age of auditionees is thirteen. All actors MUST be available for each performance. There will be a nine week rehearsal period and rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, from 7.30-10.30pm, and successful cast members are expected to attend each required rehearsal. You are advised to please inform us if you are unable to attend any scheduled rehearsals at the time of auditions. Once we start rehearsals we expect each cast member to attend every rehearsal, unless otherwise notified. Nana (a dog played by a child) Michael (stage age 10) Mrs. Darling (mid thirties to forties) John (stage age 12) Wendy (stage age 13) Mr. Darling (40ish) Peter Pan: a competent actor required who is mature yet looks young (13ish) and also small stature to be flown with ease. Tinker Bell: a small, fairy like actress Lost Boys: Slightly: musical and quite possibly a genius and conceited Tootles: not the least brave but the most unfortunate and humble of this gallant band Nibs: carefree, light hearted and debonair Curly: quite troublesome (preferably with curly hair) First Twin: looks exactly like the Second Twin Second twin: looks exactly like the First Twin Captain Hook: cadaverous and never more sinister than when he is polite and displays elegance of his diction, the distinction of his demeanour show him one of a different class from his crew (40 plus) Pirates: A villainous crew of ruffians: Cecco Bill Jukes’ Cookson Gentleman Starkey Skylights Noodles Smee (the only non conformist boatswain) Tiger Lilly (the belle of the Piccaninny Tribe) Panther: Indian Chief, Tiger Lilly’s Father Three Indian Braves Three Mermaids We are using the original J.M.Barrie script and although not a musical, as with all our previous family shows, our brilliant and talented Musical Director, Danny Forward will be composing some marvelous, original music to enhance our production. All actors will be required to sing and some characters will be given solos, to be determined upon casting. Performance Dates Friday 28th August at 8pm, Saturday 29th August at 5pm, Sunday 30th August at 2pm, Thursday 3rd September at 8pm, Friday 4th September at 8pm, Sat 5th September at 5pm, Sunday 6th September at 2pm, Friday 11th September at 8pm, Saturday 12 September at 2pm and 8pm.
