Haywire

The Sutherland Theatre Company will be holding auditions for Eric Chappell's comedy Haywire on Monday 20 April at 7.30pm. The audition will be held at the Sutherland Masonic Hall on the corner of East Parade and Moore Stree in Sutherland. Cast required: 2 males (mid 20's and late 40's to mid 50). 4 females(mid 20s - 80). The show goes on in July 2009 and there will be seven performances. Rehearsals scheduled to start in early April. Background to the Play: Alec Firth is having an affair with his assistant Liz and has organised his domestic life so that they can go to Spain without making his wife Maggie suspicious. What could go wrong? Plenty as the rest of the family arrive on the doorstep in rapid succession; Phoebe, Alec's mother, who has discharged herself from the old people's home; Alec's son Jamie who has a broken ankle, and finally his daughter Mandy who is heavily pregnant and refuses to marry the father.
