The Shape of Things by Neil La Bute

Saturday/Sunday June 6/7 th,2.30 pm (see note below)

Uni students Adam and Evelyn meet and start a romance. Adam will do almost anything for Evelyn – she’s the woman of his dreams. Evelyn encourages the best in Adam - he updates his style and things start going brilliantly.

Gradually Evelyn changes everything about Adam from his looks to his relationship with his friends Jenny and Phillip. What is she trying to make him into, and why? Jenny and Phillip are drawn into Evelyn’s scheme and eventually we find she has had a very specific, and public, project in mind for her guinea pig Adam.

Characters: 2 male, 2 female, all in their 20s.

Auditions will be booked in groups. Each actor should prepare a short monologue of their own choosing (no longer than 5 minutes) and will also read from the script with other actors.
