Daylight Saving by Nick Enright

Characters:
(ages negotiable within reason)

Felicity (Flick)
Aged 37, Felicity's agenda drives the play so the actors commitment to the project needs to be strong.  She is a chef and a businesswoman, without children, and has a part time husband.

Tom (Flick's husband)
Tom is aged 42 should be masculine, quite fit and youthful in looks and physicality.  He should be an agile performer.  Manager of young tennis star Jason.

Josh
Josh is a 37 year old American from California.  Became friends with Flick during her exchange student year when they were 20.  Has held a candle for her ever since.  Arrives declaring his love.
Â
Bunty
Felicity's mother, probably aged late 50s to 70s. Rather North Shore in personal style, used to comfort and convenience.  Intelligent.

Stephanie
Felicitys neighbour.  Potentially an interesting character and will rely heavily upon the actor's capacity and interpretation.  An actor with great range should provide an interesting characterisation.  Age range vast twenties to sixties.  Would prefer a fit actor capable of physical interpretation as well as vocal.

Jason
A young tennis star managed by Tom.  Early twenties.  Young, self-absorbed, confident, emotional, demanding, curious, almost polished but flawed.  Think a young John McEnroe.
