Expressions of Interest are now being taken for The Leap Summer Acting Workshop. THE LEAP - Acting Summer Workshop - 5 to 30 Jan 2009 at The Actor’s Playhouse Missed out on the big drama schools? Not sure what to do in 09? Then why don’t you kick start your acting career this January and dedicate a whole month to acting training at The Actor’s Playhouse. In this four week workshop, guided by Melbourne’s only Meisner Technique acting coach, Simone Young, you will learn: • how to unlock your talent by following your impulses • how to access different emotions that can be used for riveting scene work • a complete, step-by-step process that gives you all the tools you need to create real and truthful performances The secret of the Meisner Technique is that it makes acting simple, fun, more truthful and riveting to watch. This workshop is a journey similar to the training actors receive at The Neighbourhood Playhouse in New York. Study the technique practised by Robert De Niro, Robert Duval, David Mamet, Dianne Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Joanne Woodward.
