MELVILLE THEATRE COMPANY

will hold auditions for their first season of 2009 on

Saturday NOVEMBER 15th at 2.30 pm at the theatre.

Doctor in the House by Ted Willis, from the book by Richard Gordon.

Adapted from the novel by Richard gordon this play follows the escapades of three student doctors at 'St Swithin's Teaching Hospital' and contains almost every medical joke ever written!

Serial underachievers Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans find themselves with a new room-mate, Dr Simon Sparrow (played in the film by Dirk Bogarde)

Simon, who is in his first year of a five year internship just happens to be the nephew of "Old Blood & Thunder", Sir Lancelot Spratt, the irascible Head Surgeon, last of the old school!

We follow the off-duty lives, adventures, and misadventures (mostly the latter) of the medical students, their happy triump[hs, brave failures,love affairs and parties.

You will never look at medicine in the same way after watching this hilarious production!

This is comic nostalgia at its very best.
