Auditions are open, starting at 2pm this Sunday 14/Sep in the "Blue Room" at Ashwood College. Join The Hartwell Players as we take this delightful children's novel by M. M. Kaye to the stage. This is not your ordinary fairy tale, as Princess Amy is not your ordinary princess. In fact, it's her ordinariness that sets her apart. We need actors of all ages to cast this extraordinary fairy tale, with characters like: - Amy's parents, King Hulderbrand and Queen Rodehesia, worried about how they are going to find a suitor for a princess that no prince wants to marry. - Amy and her six older sisters. - Fairy godparents, including Crustacea, who bestows the gift of ordinariness on the new born princess. - Ministers and advisers of the court. - Prince Perry, who is also tired of his royal life. - Various other Princes, who travel from afar to marry the seventh princess of Phantasmorania... until they see her. - Ethelinda and other kitchen workers at the castle where Amy goes to work. - Amy's friends Mr Pemberthy (a squirrel) and Peter Aurelious (a crow). - And more!
