For the audition, please prepare a short monologue from a modern play. Always Working Artists in association with The Blue Room is producing Apocalypse Perth in the Blue Room Studio Northbridge and Padbury Hall from 22 Oct to 8 Nov 2008. Apocalypse Perth is a new “verbatim theatre” play by Kate Rice (winner, Best Play for Young Audiences, Australian Writers Guild Awards 2005) based on an online forum about the JETS production Rock Apocalypse. Writer Kate Rice will be available during the workshop to interview anyone who would like to contribute further to the project (comments, questions, rants and raves all welcome).
