Sing On!

Our November production "Sing On" by Rick Abbot is to be directed by Carole Wilson. This is an hilarious comedy about an amateur theatre group staging an Elizabethan musical with all its trials and tribulations. The reading will be held at the theatre on Saturday 6th September at 2pm with auditions at the theatre on Saturday 13th September at 2pm. Cast consists of: Geraldine "Gerry" Dunbar, a community theatre director Aggie Manville, a stage mananger, prompter and pianist Louise Peary, a backstage maid-of-all-work Henry Benish, a middle-aged actor, the spouse of: Polly Benish, a middle-aged actress on the plump side Marla "Smitty" Smith, an eager ingenue in her 20s Saul Watson, an almost-middle-aged actor Bill Carewe, an actor in his 20s Violet Carewe (nee Imbry), Bill's wife Pyllis Montague, a local amateur playwright Monte Montague, Phyllis's nephew, a hobbyist songwriter All ages are "stage ages" You don't have to be a singer, but if you can hold a bit of a tune it would help.
