They're basically just spear carriers Maria MUST be willing to have short hair (no wigs) Maria, Baron von Trapp and ONE of the children (preferably Liesl or Friedrich) MUST be able to play the guitar Auditionees are asked to prepare a song NOT FROM THE SHOW!!!
