Black and White Cabaret Performance

Adhoc Musical Comedy requires performers who sing dance and act ( musical theatre genre) for upcoming performance at a Black and White Cabaret, Saturday 20th September, 2008.The performance runs about 20 minutes and is a mini musical with storyline, lots of chorus songs, some solos and opportunities for solos within the songs.We need approximately 8 males and 8 females. all different ages, to be all sorts of characters.There are 2 leads- a male and female who need to be youngish, and can carry solos. Songs -can be prepared for audition- On Broadway, One ( from A Chorus Line), When I get my name in Lights ( from Boy From Oz), I Had the Time of My life ( from Dirty Dancing) or something similar from a Broadway Musical.Simple dance steps will be given on the day for the dance audition. Good thing about this performance, is not too many rehearsals! Six only - Sundays 10th, 17th, 24th,31st August and 7th and 14th September. 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. St Christopher's Anglican Parish Hall,Waddell Rd,Bicton. Auditions - 13th July, venue above, 2.00 p.m. The idea is to form a performance company to perform this piece at other similar functions, or work up other pieces to perform in the future so we can continue to enjoy performing, and learn from professional singing, acting and dance teachers without having to commit huge amounts of time for rehearsals required in putting on an entire show.
