Will hold auditions for the final season of 2008 at the theatre,Stock Road, Palmyra on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6 from 10 am

A Chorus Line is a tribute to the most important people in any musical; the chorus. It is a story of a group of dancers auditioning for only 8 available places in the chorus, 4 male and 4 female. Through the musical we get to know about the dancers, their background and their dreams.
A Chorus Line is also the longest running musical on Broadway.
 
All the characters in A Chorus Line must have strong dance ability, with the exception of Zach which is a non dancing role.

The following parts are available (note ages and nationalities are for stage purposes only):

Zach (Non-Singing Role, 30 - 45) Director of show, ex-lover of Cassie
Cassie (Soprano) Aging but excellent dancer
Kristine (Non-Singing) Married to Al, can't sing, hysterical
Al (Baritone) Married to Kristine, very protective
Shiela (Alto) Over-confident but beautiful actress
Mike (Tenor, Italian) Victim complex - is often teased
Larry (Tenor, 30 - 45) Zach's assistant, authoritative
Maggie (Mezzo) Daydreamer
Connie (Alto, short, Asian)
Diane (Alto, Puerto Rican) Energetic, humorous, speaks from the heart
Richie (Tenor, usually a black man) High-energy, good-natured, proud
Paul (Baritone, Puerto Rican) Friend of Diane. Quiet, shy, introverted, gay
Mark (Tenor) Optimistic, naive, charming, obsessed with sex
Judy (Mezzo, tall) Nervous, scatterbrained, gawky, hopeful
Greg (baritone, handsome) A typical "pretty boy"
Bebe (Alto) A Jewish modern dancer
Bobby (Baritone) Flamboyant, funny, clever
Don (Baritone) The "all-american" man
Male & Female cut dancers (chorus)

Please prepare a song (not necessarily from A Chorus Line) that displays your range and can be sung without accompaniment, and be prepared to dance.
Girls auditioning for the part of Cassie should prepare a song and dance number combined. 

The audition will take place at Melville Theatre Company’s home at the Roy Edinger Hall (Cnr. Canning Hwy and Stock Road).
