In Quest of Conscience

Blak Yak Theatre Inc is proud to announce auditions for its next show: ‘In Quest of Conscience’, adapted by Robert David MacDonald from the novel ‘Into That Darkness’ by Gitta Sereny, is a Holocaust horror story of epic proportions. The play is based on Gitta’s interviews with Franz Stangl, Commandant of Sobibor and Treblinka death camps. It asks the question - what manner of man can be responsible for the slaughter of 1.2 million men, women, and children in the space of 14 months? “For me, being with this man showed me as I believe no other could have done, the very essence of corruption” Gitta Sereny, “In Quest of Conscience” invites us all to consider the events of our not too distant past and to place them within the framework of our own current history and morality. Performances will be held in the Studio at the Subiaco Arts Centre, 180 Hamersley Rd, Subiaco. A read through will be held on Sunday April 27th starting at 1pm, at the Blue Room (James St, Northbridge). Auditions will be held at The Blue Room on Monday April 28th starting at 7pm.
