THe Comedy of Errors

The Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare's shortest play and the one closest approaching farce. Involving two sets of identical twins separated at birth by shipwreck, some missing money, a misplaced necklace and many mistaken identities. Cast required 2 males aged 20 - 35 to play the Antipholi. 2 males or two females aged 20 - 25 to play the Dromio's. (The roles are males and will be played as men even if cast with women.) 2 Females aged 20 - 35 to play the sisters Adriana and Luciana 2 - 3 men and 2 - 3 women to play various roles including The Duke, Aemilia, Aegon, various guards, businessmen and others. The play is set in no particular time and will be costumed according to character rather than era. It is a fantasy farce and will be played as such. Some attention will be given to Commedia stock characters. Auditions by appointment only, Please prepare a Shakespeare monologue (learning the monologue is not necessary) of approximately 2 to 3 minutes duration.
