The central character in the story is Jim Hudson who is building a large boat and dreams of sailing away to coral seas and blue skies. Jim is doing this in the mistaken belief that it’s all for Enid, his wife. There are eighteen characters in the story some big parts some small. The show includes seventeen original songs plus one dance sequence, it is fully scripted and the music is scored. Post production work will be carried out with the assistance and input of Motion Link of Crows Nest. The Dreambuilder will be produced in High Definition video and 5.1 channel sound. A proportion of the shooting will be done against a blue screen and the location background will be added during the edit. Using this method gives great flexibility in the shooting schedule, No set rehearsal times need be set as the individual parts can be shot in any order and at times convenient to the actors. The songs will be supplied to the actors on DVD in a format similar to Karaoke. This method will give maximum flexibility for individuals to practice and rehearse at times convenient to them. This is an amateur production and it must be absolutely clear that no financial reward will be given or sought. With the exception of course that everyone will have their own copy of the DVD.
