Due to a sudden cast vacancy, we need a female or male actor to fill the boots of Nicholas Claus. And to do so within the next week if possible!
NICHOLAS CLAUS (alias Santa Claus, of course) is the lead character in ARENA's pantomime SANTA'S SPACE CHRISTMAS. Being panto, this is ideally a role for a female in a Principle Boy role, but in the current circumstances, we will be open to a male filling this vacancy. We require an experienced actor 18 - 40yrs old, with a strong stage presence, some singing abilities, and a flair for comedy, particularly physical slapstick stuff.
NICHOLAS CLAUS is an earnest, honest, straightforward sort of chap, full of energy and enthusiasm. He's an easy-going, friendly sort, who dons the Santa cozzie every year to become Santa. Abducted by aliens from the Planet Qwertyuiop, he finds himself caught up in a plot to dethrone Queen Snottygobble amidst the planet's rather bizarre celebrations of what they think Christmas is actually about.

Potential Auditionees will need to be available for the set rehearsals of Wednesday nights, and Sunday afternoons or nights, plus any other times that are mutually available. Rehearsals for this character will be once or twice per week.
