Productions are proud to announce the auditions for their November 2007 production of “Pageant- A Musical Comedy Beauty Contest”. The production will be performed at the Williamstown Mechanics Institute from Friday November 16th to Saturday November 24th 2007. You've never seen a beauty pageant like this one! “Pageant’ pits six beauty queens (all played by men) against each other in an extravaganza of evening gowns, bathing suits, and not-to-be-missed talent. While “Les Girls” swirl around the charming host in the funniest beauty contest ever seen, judges selected from the audience decide who will be crowned Miss Glamouresse. A different winner each night ensures non-stop nail-biting fun! AUDITION INFORMATION Auditions will be held at The Williamstown Mechanics Institute (Corner Melbourne Road & Electra Street, Williamstown). Entry via the Meeting Room entrance on Electra Street. All auditionees are required to make a booking with the Audition Secretary on 1300 881 545. AUDITION DATES Tuesday 28th August from 7.30pm Wednesday 29th August from 7.30pm REQUIREMENTS We require a cast of 5 men (all of which will be performing as women) in this riotous comedy. Auditionees must be over the age of 18. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Rehearsals will commence on Wednesday 12th September. Please prepare one song that demonstrates your vocal range and strengths. Sheet music must be provided to the accompanist and all sheet music must be in the correct key. No transposition, backing track or A Cappella singing will be accepted. Part of the audition may involve the singing of scales and other technical exercises.
